Apps for children with Special Needs (a4cwsn.com) will be hosting what is believed to be the world's largest App Party, giving away thousands of IOS Apps of specific benefit to the parents of children with Special Needs. This will take place on June 11th 2011 at 9am EST on A4cwsn's Facebook Page
The App Party is hosted by Gary James of A4CWSN.com, a site dedicated to producing videos of Apps in Action for the benefit of the special needs community, and builds on a successful pilot of the concept, which is thought to be unique, held in April of this year.
Well over 100 of the very best developers currently involved in producing Apps for children with special needs are featured, who have donated for free the thousands of Apps, which are to be given away. Gary James, the owner of a4cwsn.com says "Some of the best known App Publishers in the world have come on board with this unique project, including Oceanhouse Media, MobileEducation Store, Ruckus Media, AbelNet, Silver Kite, Grembe Apps, Legend, iDevBooks, Fishdog, Brain Parade, Kiboomu, Jungle Education, Binary Labs, Gary Brown’s Autism Apps, Thumb Arcade, Nosy Crow, Grace and over 100 more. A full list of Developers taking part can be found on the web-site .We know from the success of our first trial how popular this event is going to be - it will be massive"
James continued, "The App giveaway takes the form of a game in which all participants compete for the correct codes that will unlock their access to the free App, which they can then download from iTunes for free.
As well as giving away what is expected to be in excess of 2500 codes for
Apps on the iPad, iPhone and iTouch James will also be giving away a number of iPad 2's to parents of children with Special Needs on the day to eligible families. James said "This is part of our iPads4U campaign to help those who would otherwise find this technology unaffordable. There can be no doubt at all that touch tablet technology is opening up a new world of interactive communication for children with special needs, and we can't wait to spread the word, but our campaign relies entirely on generous donations from sponsors and philanthropists and we have a long waiting list so any additional support we get would be great"
In addition to the App Giveaway, the event will also give away a range of other prizes, including iPad covers, app bundles, gift cards, and a range of accessories donated by sponsors.
Parents of children with special needs who would like to takepart in the App Party should go herefor joining and participation instructions. Sponsors wishing to donate to the iPads4U campaign should contact Gary James at (Gary(at)a4cwsn(dot)com)
